Na foto vemos tucum já tingido com mangarataia. Mangarataia é uma raiz. Depois socar as raízes na panela e misturar com fixador, é levado ao fogo para ferver. Em seguida é colocado tucum branca na panela, e deixar ferver por uns minutos, até pegar ficar no ponto de tirar da panela. Enquanto isso as mulheres vão mexendo sempre para poder pegar a cor amarela.
